Centenary of World War I – learn and never forget
New Zealand's First World War Centenary (WW100) programme will mark the First World War centenary from 2014 to 2019 (when our troops came home) — through a range of events, activities and projects in all parts of the country.
What's happening in 2018
The WW100 commemoration themes across 2014–2019 match the chronology of events of 1914–1919. This year's theme is The darkness before the dawn and marks the centenary of the liberation of Le Quesnoy on 4 November and Armistice Day on 11 November. Find out ways you can join in with activities and projects happening across the country (external link) .
