Cyclone Hola: Parents should keep in touch with schools and ECE
We recommend parents and whānau keep in contact with their school/kura or early learning service to get information about possible closures tomorrow as a result of Cyclone Hola.
The best information will come from schools and early learning services themselves as they make decisions in the morning. Parents are advised to check school or early childhood service websites or Facebook pages or contact them directly.
The decision to close remains that of the Board of Trustees for schools and Centre Managers/Owners for Early Learning services.
Our local staff are on standby and should the extreme weather eventuate as forecast, they will contact any affected schools/kura and ECEs to provide them with advice and support if needed.
